Welcome to the Historical religious buildings walking tour of Montreal
The Walking Tour: This walking tour is designed to teach its participants about five important religious buildings in the downtown Montreal area. Each building represents an important part of the history of Montreal. The walking tour will take about two hours to fully complete. Over the period of two hours the participants will visit Dawson College, Sacred Heart High School, Concordia Grey Nuns building, McGill Wilson Hall and Mont St Louis. During this walking tour you will be able to revisit the past, view beautiful architecture and learn about the present uses of these historical buildings. Each building was originally used for religious purposes and today each of these buildings is being used for new purposes. This walking tour will provide you with an understanding of the history behind these five sites, as well as update you on their present use.
*To facilitate the tour you will need an Opus card for the Montreal metro system or change to take the bus or metro.
