The McGill Wilson Hall Building was built in 1914. It originally served as a Wesleyan Theological College. It is situated on the North-Eastern corner of Milton and 3506 University Street, alongside the giant gates to McGill University. The building was built by the firm Ross and MacDonald. The Wesleyan Theological school built what we now know as the Wilson Hall building to be able to house a larger number of college students on its campus. It was also built in order to have more classroom space. In 1945 the Wesleyan College sold the building to McGill for one dollar. The building was soon renamed the Wilson Hall Building after Wilson Hall, who was once the Chancellor of McGill. In 1962 it became the official McGill University building for Nursing which falls under the faculty of medicine and of Social work under the faculty of arts. The building is still used today for these two specific faculties. The building still stands today, however there are many problems with it including recent flooding. (mcgill.ca)
